1. Who we are and what this covers

The app lets guests at an event (wedding, birthday…) upload photographs to a shared gallery tied to that event.

2. What data we collect

• Guest name/nickname that you enter yourself when uploading (it can be a nickname).
• Photographs that you upload.
• Reactions (emoji), linked to a random device identifier stored locally in your browser.
• Technical data via Google Analytics (with consent): approximate location (country/city), device/browser type, pages visited (pseudonymous identifiers).
• Event PIN cookie (necessary) so you don't have to enter the PIN again.

3. What we do NOT collect

Guests sign in with Google — we never set or store a password. We don't charge or process payment data, and we don't sell data to third parties.

4. Legal basis

• Necessary cookies and displaying the gallery → legitimate interest / performance of the service.
• Google Analytics → consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), by clicking "Accept".

5. Where the data is stored (subprocessors)

• Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany (EU) — a VPS with our Supabase database and photo storage.
• Netlify, Inc. (USA) — serving the web app; transfer under standard contractual clauses.
• Google Ireland Ltd. — Google Analytics 4 (with consent).

6. How long we keep it

Photographs, reactions and the associated gallery data are deleted automatically and completely 30 days after the event (from the database and from storage). GA data per the settings in the GA4 console (recommended: up to 14 months).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Access, rectification, erasure, objection and data portability. Requests to vidk@codeandsail.com. Right to lodge a complaint with the AZOP (azop.hr).

8. Children

Galleries may contain photographs of people of all ages uploaded by guests. To have one removed, contact the organiser or us.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we publish material changes on this page.
